Personal Life
William Shakespeare's life history has been a mystery to us. However, two primary sources have provided historians a basic outline of his life. The first one provides information on his work- plays, poems and sonnets. Last is documentation such as church and court records, but this is still is just a sketch of specific events of his life.Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, England to John Shakespeare and Mary Arden. He had a huge success being a merchant, alderman, and a high bailiff of Stratford. He married Anne Hathaway on November 28, 1582. She was 26 and pregnant and he was only 18. They later had three kids named Susan, Hamnet, and Judith. Unfortunately, Hamnet died at a very young age. During 1590s, documents showed William was a managing partner in the Lord Chamberlain's Men, an acting company. After the crowing of King James 1 in 1603, they changed the name to King's Men. By 1592, there is evidence that shakespeare earned a living as an actor and playwright in London.
Education
Many scholars believe he attended grammar school in Stratford because there is no exact proof of his knowledge of Latin and classical Greek. Since he never attended university, many people question the authorship of his work.
